Intelligent owner

This is a very amusing and short story about an intelligent businessman. Once, a truck carrying eggs collided with another vehicle and overturned. As a result, all the eggs were smashed on the road, and a crowd quickly gathered at the scene.  Suddenly, a kind-looking gentleman emerged from the crowd and approached the egg truck's driver. He said,"Brother, surely your owner will hold you responsible for this loss and demand compensation." The driver replied, "Yes, absolutely." The gentleman then said, "But you are poor! Where will you get so much money? Do this - here, take ten rupees from me. If you collect a little bit more from the rest of the people here, I think it will be enough to cover the loss." Following his suggestion, a good amount of money was collected within a short time.  Slowly, the crowd dispersed, and the gentleman also left. Afterward, a passerby remarked to himself, "You don't see such good people these days! Wh...

Dying Rich vs living rich

In the article “The Indian senior citizen: Dying rich but not living rich” by Mahesh Pai reproduced hereunder, he highlights: - how many Indian seniors spend their lives saving and investing for the next generation, often denying themselves comfort and joy. - Emotional attachment to property and traditional investments, rising healthcare costs, and outdated financial habits keep them away from living fully.  - urges seniors to prioritize their well-being, diversify investments, enjoy their resources, and embrace changing times — living meaningfully instead of merely accumulating wealth to leave behind. To me : Richness is not about the money we hold or hoard, but about living exuberantly with what we have. Financial independence does matters — to live our old age with dignity, without depending on our children, physically or financially. In India, cannot depend on the Government also, despite we pay tax for earning and spending. If we own far more than we ever need or u...

By nature Seagull are expert fliers. It flies to its expertise to catch fish for its living  But each act does not guarantee any expectation!  Still it gets its fish ..... on its perseverance.  One need to play expertise in every act. But need not get an expected result for every act Trust, the results are always culmination of actions. Beyond yours .  One more thing. ... One need to keep learning to excel the expertise continously. That is what adoptive growth. On 2 principles: 1. Unwilling to confirm to the defined results. 2. Unwind creations beyond confined expectation. Live to act, learn and grow.  Beyond yours. To cater the needs beyond yours.. Like  narrated  in the book  Jonathan living stone  seagull by   Richard Harris And cause every act to result beyond yours!

Meditative

An excellent teaching.....Be meditative in whatever you do, for meditation to happen....  Imitation is one way to start learning.  Despite, its limitation.   Children learn to experience that way.  It is a way of modelling an excellence.  In imitation, one will be meditative  for a while . With an intention to excel. on the way,  one can learn to find & fine tune the frequency to be meditative all the time. that is timeless.

Past Present Future

PAST: There's a past to be remembered but there is a past to be forgotten. Let go of the dead past.  Use the past that are remembered, only for learning, if any. Thereafter let go of that dead past too. Actually nature buries the past if there is no lesson or you have learnt a lesson. We keep the decayed trash mindfully only for emotional drama.  FUTURE: There's a future built by our dream by way of plan of action. Mind that there is a place and time to construct it. And that is now, the present. PRESENT It is the only time alive now and here.  So - Focus on what is right now. - Use your purpose to respond to what is important now. Physically and mentally you can be only now and here. Be (in )the present..

Everything is connected

Tom Chi tells 3 stories to explain how we are all connected - a story of the heart, a story of the breath and a story of the mind and shares with us the concept of the 'palette of being' and how our actions can expand possibilities for ourselves, those we come into contact with and for those that come after us  Go to this link for the 3 stories .  Moral of the 3 stories: We exist only because many others in the past did and in the present doing something unique during their existence. Thus, each one of us physically exist for a purpose, beyond self. So, what do I (as a human being) consciously think, say & do, beyond self?

When You Stop Forcing Life

Life resists control. The harder you try to force it, the more it slips away—like chasing a butterfly. True peace and effectiveness come from flowing with life, not against it. Most of us were taught to strive endlessly: plan, push, achieve. But this constant effort often leads to stress, not success. Ancient wisdom calls for a different way—Wu Wei, or effortless action. It's about acting in harmony with life’s natural rhythm. You’re not truly in control of most things: your birth, your emotions, the weather, your heartbeat. Much unfolds on its own. Recognizing this frees you from the suffering of resistance. Acceptance doesn't mean giving up. It means seeing reality clearly and responding from a place of presence. Let go of the need to control outcomes. Set intentions, take aligned action, and trust the process. Think of a seed—it doesn’t force itself to grow; it responds to conditions. Likewise, your role is to create the right conditions for life to unfold. You a...

The Silent Race or Rat race (Author unknown) - Our choice

OR    A story I came across  This morning, while out jogging, I noticed someone about half a kilometer ahead. He seemed to be running just a little slower than me, and I felt a quiet satisfaction. “I'll try to catch up with him,” I told myself. So I picked up my pace. Block by block, I was gaining on him. Soon, I was just 100 ft behind.I pushed harder, focused, determined. And finally - I passed him. Inwardly, I felt good. I had won. But, he didn’t even know I was racing with him. And that’s when it hit me. I had been so focused on beating someone else, that I missed  - my own turn home - the stillness of the morning - the lush greenery whispering wisdom - the opportunity for inner stillness - my morning soul-searching - my micro-meditation. In my needless rush, I even stumbled a few times - close to hurting myself. And I wondered: Isn’t this exactly what happens in our life at times? —---—---—---—---—---—---—---—---—---—--- Reflection:  We compete silently—...

React or Respond

When past wounds whisper in your mind, Emotions rule, and your sight goes blind. With ego strong, you rush to fight, To prove you are right, Win-lose or worse, no end in sight. When the present clears your sight, A conscious step will guide you right. No ego sways, no need to fight, Just win-win paths that shine so bright...

Belief Sparks, but Action Builds

A vs B? Action Vs Belief? Belief ignites a fleeting flame, A whisper soft, yet not the game. It paints the dreams in colors bright, But dreams alone won’t bring the light. A step, a stride, the work begun, Through rising moons and setting sun. For thought alone may spark the way, Yet feet must move to shape the day. The hands that build, the hearts that strive, Turn whispered hopes to things alive. Belief may call, but action stays, And carves the path through endless days. So dream, but more—go forth, create, For motion bends the hand of fate

The 90/10 Principle

The 90/10 Principle Consider a situation:  You're eating breakfast with your family. Your daughter accidentally knocks over a cup of coffee onto your business shirt. You curse and harshly scold your daughter for the mishap. She breaks down in tears. After scolding her, you turn to your wife and criticize her for placing the cup too close to the edge of the table. A short verbal argument follows. You storm upstairs and change your shirt. Back downstairs, you find your daughter has been too busy crying to finish breakfast and get ready for school. She misses the bus. Your wife must leave immediately for work. You rush to the car and drive your daughter to school. Because you are late, you drive 80 km an hour in a 60 km/h speed limit zone. After a 15-minute delay and paying a $60 traffic fine, you arrive at school. Your daughter runs to the building without saying goodbye. After arriving at the office 30 minutes late, you find you forgot your briefcase. Your day has started terribly, ...
